Craps -The Intimidating Table Game?
Play craps online at sweepstakes casinos. There are many states making progress with legalizing online gambling. This still leaves a large part of the country unable to access state-regulated online casinos. A legal alternative that operates around the country is to play at sweepstakes casinos. Craps is extremely exciting and lot of fun to play. But besides all the thrills and energy that is a part of online casino craps games, what makes online casino craps such a good game to play is that it gives players a wide variety of bets and a number of opportunities to win. As an online game, Craps will keep you head over heels as there are many bets you can place, like odds bets, proposition bets, as well as hardways. With this in mind, CasinoFreak.com brings you free play craps games powered by leading software developers like RTG or Playtech.
Who hasn’t walked past a craps table the first time feeling intimidation and excitement at the same time? Everybody that’s who!
Nevertheless, it doesn’t stop the curious from learning the game as quickly as possible. Novice player or not - it is for the real gambler, wanting real money action.
Learn the ins and outs and that daunting sentiment quickly disappears. It’s not like the Hollywood portrayal of high-roller James Bond types. A dress code of men in white tuxes sipping on martinis and lovely ladies blowing on their dice isn’t reality.
Come as you are…shorts, sandals, beer in hand and a stack of chips
…and the best part is, it applies to online craps or land-based casinos!
Is Craps a Hard Game to Learn?
It might seem overwhelming and confusing at first. But let’s be honest that goes for anything when not well studied. With a bit of research, you’ll beat the house and be bumping elbows with the best of players. After all, it could be you as the next craps champion
Basic 'Must Knows'
Does the roll of the dice have any impact of the game? That is one controversial question with many players having their own theories. Watch each die long enough and decide for yourself!

Rules
- 3-4-5X odds are allowed.
- To simplify the game, instead of offering both place and buy bets, I offer just one for each number. Each number pays the better odds between place and buy bets. I refer to these as 'buy bets.' They pay 7-6 on the 6 & 8, 7-5 on the 5 & 9, and 39-20 on the 4 & 10.
- Lay bets pay true odds, but player must prepay a 5% commission, based on the possible win. This works out to odds of 19-25 on the 6 & 8, 19-31 on the 5 & 9, and 19-41 on the 4 & 10.
- If the player selects 'keep bets working,' then all bets will be on for come out rolls. Otherwise, buy, hard ways, and odds on come bets will be turned off.
- If the player selects 'leave winnings bets up,' then only wins will be returned and the original wager will be re-bet. However, winning come and don't come bets are always returned. Winnings odds bets on come bets will remain up if there is a new come bet to associate them with. If the new come bet is less than the winning one, the amount of odds on the table will be the same multiple bet on the odds of the winning bet and the rest returned to the player.
- Bets may be taken down by shift-clicking.
- Put bets and taking down don't pass and don't come bets, that are already on a number, are not allowed.
To slow down the payment stage of the game, hold down the shift and control keys when you click 'roll'.
For fans of my buggy old version one, I still have it. However, I highly recommend playing this current version instead.

Dating as far back as the Crusades, Craps is the most popular dice based table game played at both land-based and online casinos. The game is usually situated in the high roller areas of brick and mortar casinos. The table in craps follows a mirror concept in order to allow easy access to all players at the table. In each turn somebody is the shooter and he throws the two dice. The outcome of a dice roll is between 2 and 12.
Playing craps online at Internet casinos is a bit different. There is neither shooter nor a physical table. Players click on the Roll Dice button and they place bets by clicking on them. That is why the game is played at a faster pace. However, with the introduction of live dealer casinos, it won't be long until we can play craps online similar to how its played in a normal land-based casino.
There are a couple of bets you can make at a craps table so we are going to help you understand them. - To maintain a good bankroll, use craps betting systems like Martingale
- If you want to use betting progression, stick with the Pass/Don't Pass bets or the Come/Don't Come bets because they will minimize your house edge

TIPS FOR PLAYING CRAPS FOR REAL MONEY
Technically speaking, craps is not a casino game of skill. The roll of the dice is totally random and you cannot gain control over it. But this is not a bad thing. At least you know that the outcome is totally fair and random as well as based on pure luck.
Nevertheless, if you make smart decisions, you can improve your chances of winning. At least if you learn the general rules on how to play craps you have the chance to prolong your game and stay with more or less the same bankroll.
- Learn how to play the game, especially about the different types of craps bets.
- If you are new to craps, start out by playing the game in free mode.
- Know your budget and keep track of how much you are spending.
- Ignore all myths and misconceptions about online craps.
DIFFERENT CRAPS VARIATIONS
Craps may seem like an easy to master table game, but this is definitely not the case as the game is actually quite complex and offers plenty of betting opportunities. And while Simplified Craps may appeal to novelty games, seasoned players will enjoy more exciting variants such as Crapless Craps, Die Rich, High Point Craps and New York Craps.
Crapless CrapsRather than losing when you roll 2, 3 or 12, these numbers will become points when playing Crapless Craps, but 11 is also considered a point on the come out roll and not a pass line win like in the original version.
Die Rich CrapsDie Rich is a relatively new variant and it has yet to receive wide exposure. The game is played at a smaller table and with only one die, where pass line bet is lost if 1 is rolled and won at 1:1 if 6 is rolled.
High Point CrapsHigh Point Craps is characterized by a low house edge due to the fact that a roll of 11 or 12 wins the pass line bet, and initial roll of 2 or 3 is ignored. Any other total becomes a point, where a player needs to receive a total higher than the point to win.
New York CrapsNew York Craps is the game played at a double-end-dealer table where two dealers stand at opposite ends of a table. This game does not allow come bets whilst the house takes 5% commission on all wins.
Simplified CrapsAs the name would suggest, this is the easiest Craps variant to master seeing as how the player wins when he rolls 2, 3, 4, 10, 11 or 12 and losses if he rolls, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9. The 5 to 1 payout on a total of 12 seems quite appealing.
ONLINE Craps FAQ
The odds of online and offline craps are totally the same and no one can affect the outcome of the dice roll. The only difference between the two game modes is in the visual aspect.
The most common bets in craps are Pass and Don’t Pass bets and Come and Don’t Come bets. The Pass/Come bets have house edge of 1.41%, while the Don’t Pass and Don’t Come bets have 1.40% house edge.
A Pass Line bet is put on a come out roll. If the come out roll is 7 or 11, players win even money and they lose if it is 2, 3 or 12. If any other total is rolled, that roll is called the point. Afterwards the shooter rolls the dice until he rolls the point or a seven. Players loose if a 7 comes before the point. If the point is rolled, they win even money.
The Come and Don't Come bets are the same as the Pass and Don’t Pass bets respectively. However, they are made any time other than a come out roll. Players can take Odds after a Come bet and they can also lay the Odds if any point is rolled after a Don't Come bet.
Some mobile casinos offer mobile craps that can be played on a number of mobile and tablet devices. Playing mobile craps is very convenient, simple, fast and easy. However, you need to download the game on your device. The alternative is to access it directly from a mobile browser.
